It's National Apprentice Week 2022!

National Apprenticeship Week 2022 takes place from 7th to 13th February 2022. The week is designed to bring together everyone passionate about apprenticeships to celebrate the value, benefit, and opportunity that apprenticeships bring.

The theme of National Apprenticeship Week 2022 is ‘Build the Future’, a continuation of the theme used in 2021.

Technical education has been transformed in recent years through apprenticeships. The week will encourage the country to consider and celebrate how technical education can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to develop a workforce with future ready skills.

The aim is to inspire the nation with engaging stories of apprentices’ progression – the increase in their confidence, skills, knowledge and how apprenticeships have kick-started incredible careers. We will be showcasing, first-hand, the business benefits and return on investment of employing apprentices through our Warehouse to Wheels scheme, how we as an employer are using apprenticeships to fill skills gaps, upskill and revitalise our workforce ensuring they are future proof and future ready!

National Apprenticeship Week 2022 is a great opportunity to celebrate with all the apprenticeship community and showcase how apprenticeships work for individuals, employers, local communities, and the wider economy.

Over the course of the week we will be shining the spotlight on two of our current apprentices who are taking part in our Warehouse to Wheels scheme, which was launched last year to tackle the well-known driver shortage. Trucklink EU teamed up TRS Training Ltd to launch this new apprentice scheme which is a 12 month initiative and aims to attract young drivers and provide new opportunities by supporting them in gaining their LGV licence along with the necessary practical, technical and legal knowledge needed to succeed in the industry.

Stay tuned across our social platforms over the next week!
